Support Us

Kat and Alister work hard to make shows, to tour high quality work to audiences in the UK and beyond, and to create opportunities in our area for other artists.

If you enjoy our work and share our values, then please help us make it all keep happening.  If you’d like to discuss how to support us, please get in touch by emailing alister [at] twodestinationlanguage.com. We have new ideas in development and opportunities to take our work to wider audiences for which we need support – we’d be really pleased to hear from you!

Two Destination Language is a charity, registered in England and Wales (number 1165934).

Some background

Support for our work comes from a range of sources. It’s always related to particular projects – we’ve been supported by a range of funders including Arts Council England, Wiltshire Council, Creative Ecology Wiltshire, University of Winchester, ICIA University of Bath, Salisbury Arts Centre, Dance4, ARC Stockton, The Kevin Spacey Foundation, Bristol Old Vic Ferment and Caravan for our work.

Some income comes from ticket sales and fees from venues at which we perform, and usually these pay for our time there and our costs for the performance, but that’s all. Sometimes, a venue can’t cover all those costs and we’re only able to perform because of funding from another source.

Our FLINT project – bringing new exciting work to Wiltshire and Hampshire together with partner venues – is hugely important to how we operate as artists. There’s a lot of good work being made, and if we want there to be more opportunities to share that work, we have to find ways to work together to create them – which is exactly what FLINT does. We think this is an initiative well worth investing in.

Not all the support we get is financial. Some people (and institutions) give us time and expertise. This is really valuable, too, even more than money that would pay for that help: it connects us with those people, and builds a community around us. We’re very grateful for all the ‘support-in-kind’ we receive from individuals and institutions.

If you’d like to join them, please do get in touch.
