This year has been a very exciting time for the us. We have had some wonderful audiences across the country and abroad, we have made new friends and partnerships, and we have learned a whole load! We toured Near Gone to Poland, Ireland and Ukraine and we visited Croatia, Italy, Bulgaria, Australia, Morocco and Hungary on research trips.
In 2015, we made a new piece called LANDED foregrounding elderly people’s stories of love, and we also finished Manpower, a studio piece about the men who have influenced us and our attitudes to work. We have continued to tour Near Gone and we started work on a new studio piece, Declining Solo, about fading memories, people and cultures.
The year also saw us making two shows with young people. In the summer we spent two weeks working with wonderfully talented people between 10 and 15 years old at Salisbury Arts Centre, and this Autumn as have been working with sixteen students from University of Winchester. These opportunities have been particularly exciting for us, it was a real privilege to transform, challenge and engaged young thinkers into new ways of making theatre.
We look forward to starting the new year with a new member of the company: Jo Mackie has joined us as producer. We are also incorporating, with a new board of trustees in place. 2016, we can not wait to have you here!
Much love, Kat & Alister
